FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does the "Client-verified" badge mean?

It means the client named in that specific case study confirmed, directly, that the results are accurate. It doesn't mean the client wrote anything or endorsed the agency generally — just that they clicked one button confirming that one case study. Full details on the Verified page.

How does verification actually work?

An agency requests verification for a case study and provides the client's work email. OpenServed reviews the request, then emails the client a link with two buttons: "Confirm this is accurate" or "This isn't accurate." That's the entire client-side flow — no account, no form, no writing required.

Can an agency just make up a client and verify itself?

The verification email goes to the work-email domain of the client's own website, and every request is reviewed before it goes out. An agency can't send it to itself or approve its own request.

If an agency edits a verified case study, does it stay verified?

No. Changing anything about the engagement itself — the results, the client, the services, the source link — revokes the badge, and the agency has to request verification again. Purely cosmetic changes, like swapping the image, don't affect it.

Is it free to list an agency on OpenServed?

Yes. Claiming and managing an agency profile is free.

How do I claim my agency's profile?

Search for your agency, open its profile, and use the claim link. We verify ownership through your company's own email domain before granting access to manage the listing.

I found something inaccurate on a listing. What do I do?

Unverified claims are shown as the agency submitted them, and it's always worth checking the "View original source" link on any case study to see where it came from. If something looks wrong, reach out and let us know.
